Lance everything in seoul is pruned and shaped. The street trees are pine ,ginko ,yew, japanese maple ,azealea and plane tree mainly. All these trees to about 30 foot are pruned. You will find more landscape settings at temples and palaces. I havent come across actual penjing in pots, trays etc. Some of the pines in gardens etc would envy any pine lover.SLR5000 wrote:Thanks for posting and great photos. In your travels, did you see many penjing landscapes??

One of the thousands of pruned pines around seoul. U will see yew and juniper also. Some of the junipers would have to be old.

Thanks for the effort Matthew. I loved all the red pine street trees that were everywhere in Seoul. I hope you are having a good time with lots of Bulgogi and kimchee.
