so why so harsh john? is it the qualities not good enough? are prices too expensive? or both. some kind of explanation as to why a 3 would be appreciated. i do respect your taste and eye for a good tree. :D

Hi John,

Im sorry to hear about your experience at Mr Hanhs, I visit about 5 different nurseries on a fairly regular basis including Mr Hanhs and I've never seen any huge variations on price in relation to the stock, but by all means you're entitled to your opinion. I am really curious as to which tree you were looking at....
either one of these...?

Hi Eliest,
the tree i saw was a literati black pine about 350mm in height and in need of some work,i guess my expectations were quite high after the pics i have seen, the prices i was quoted came as a shock as we are at the top end of the market when you get around $2000+However it is always good to visit a bonsai nurseries you haven't been to before.

Hi Marc,

In terms of displayed trees, Garden World is peerless is Victoria. Just my
opinions.

Not too far from Garden World is BonsaiArt http://www.bonsaiart.com.au/ .

Lot of stocks there. And a few expensive signed pots too. The owner name
is Trevor. I do not know his surname. But if you go there, you can see him
smiling:

:)

Recently he has erected and housed-display area, some very nice azaleas and
white pines etc.

Cheer Marc.
