Taiga Urishibata Visit

Post by Gerard »

We are delighted to announce that Mr Taiga Urishibata will be our guest international presenter in 2016. Between June 24th and July 1st. he will conduct workshops and demonstrations. Taiga grew up with bonsai in his fathers nursery before serving his apprenticeship with Mr Kimura, he was named as his most talented student. 12 or more years later although relatively young, Taiga has become one of the most respected bonsai masters in Japan.

I am not sure if you are serious about travelling from Canberra or just jealous?
BSV Club members will be given the first choices and after a month or so we will open to outside participants. 7 or 8 days will surely provide opportunities for those who jump early.
I expect we will put out forms in March or about that time.

We decided late last year that 8.00pm was a little late, especially in winter. The new regular start time is 7.30.
The monthly (second Saturday) meetings will start at noon.

Still some vacancies for workshop positions, this man is considered by many to be Kimura's best ever apprentice. Now working on the international circuit I expect a very special week.
You con also book a spot as an observer for the workshops.

Some sessions are now full. Those who are not members of BSV can now book as workshop participants or observers.
