6th Symposium on Australian Native Plants as Bonsai 2017

Post by marcela »

Hi everyone,
Details and registration forms for the 6th Symposium on Australian plants as bonsai hosted by the Victorian Native Bonsai Club on March 4&5 2017 are finalised. Please visit our website to find the registration forms and information for an informative weekend surrounded by like minded people.

http://www.vicnativebonsai.com.au

We will be holding our annual Exhibition in conjunction with the symposium so mark that down on your calendar if you're not able to attend the symposium weekend.
Hope to see some of you there. Please note, as we will be holding our exhibition at Domain House, we will not be having any sales...thought I'd get that in before you guys ask :tu:

Hi everyone,
Less than a month to go for closing of registrations, get in quick as numbers are limited. There are a couple of spots left for the Critique workshop segment so first in gets the spot.
Email me at secnativeclub@gmail.com for a registration form or check out our website.
Hope to see some of you then.

I'll be going to this. There will be some fantastic presenters. You will get some great information on growing particular species, you will also get more discussion on the 'Australian Style'. Whatever that is?
In conjunction with the Symposium, the annual Exhibition of the Victorian Native Bonsai Club will be held in nearby Domain House.
Registrations for the Symposium close very soon, but entry to the Exhibition can be paid at the door on the day.

Hey Grim,
surprised you didnt get any replies to your post.
It'll be a great weekend and sure to take away heaps of knowledge.
People last year said they wished they had attended once they saw the photos.
Well, they have 2 more days!

Unfortunately can't make the symposium this time around, but do hope to sneak down and check out the exhibition. I wish all those attending both an educational and entertaining weekend, as I had a few years back... Enjoy!

Getting excited now!
Set up day is tomorrow (Friday) and those displaying trees will get a sneak preview of the display, I think the native trees in Melbourne have come along in leaps and bounds since the last symposium in early 2015. Some species develop so quickly it is hard to believe! Also looking forward to discussions and catching up with interstate visitors.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.
