SA Bonsai Society 2022 Exhibition
Today we wrapped up the 2022 Exhibition for the SA Bonsai Society, and I felt it was one of our better exhibitions - the quality of the trees on display and for sale were excellent, and without any Covid restrictions the mood was up. This year we removed all restrictions on display trees so all club members were able to contribute and the novice section returned.
The public response was excellent and sales were brisk. There were plenty of volunteers from the club so it all ran very smoothly, with lots of contributions from newer members. I'm proud to be associated with this club.
Here are some of the trees being exhibited:

The main stage was given over to a display of Junipers.
..and finally a before and after shot of the sales area.

It sure is. It belongs to Chris Drinkwater, who created most of the Cape Cotton Bushes. He's a talented guy.The base on the River Red is a beast...

I think that was my favourite of the displays. I didn't realise it was a euc at first. Either that or the outhouse-adjacent melaleuca.

Re: SA Bonsai Society 2022 Exhibition
It's so good to see Sam's tree's on proper display. I loved watching him get them all ready. I thought the out house accent was hilarious, so glad it made it to the show floor.
I've never heard of a Cape Cotton bush before but these trees are incredible. I'm going to need to look into them further.
Amazing collection from the growers in SA. Thankyou for sharing the photo's with us!
