Re: Bonsai Study Group Annual Show
I thought the Bonsai Study Group was the Australian Plants as Bonsai Study Group. Yet I see mainly exotic species.?
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Last, but not least, this one. I love the pot too. I wish I'd made it.
Some of the labels had botannical names, some had common names.

Soltan, the Bonsai Study Group is a Sydney suburban club in West Pymble and formed in 1995. The ABAP is a Canberra based Group concentrating on natives. We are more eclectic. Similar name but more diverse.

Re: Bonsai Study Group Annual Show
No not at all. I googled bonsai study group to try to clarify before I asked the question but found nothing. In fact after I saw the pictures of natives I thought it must be the APAB Study group. I have little idea what you mean by the comment so I am now again confused

Re: Bonsai Study Group Annual Show
The APAB show is now under the auspices of the Canberra Bonsai Society and will be held every 18 months to give alternating Spring and Autumn shows. Shows are held at the Australian National Botanical Gardens, Canberra, and they only allow native plants on the premises.
Google the Canberra Bonsai Society website for more info. Next show is 13th and 14th March 2010.
