Thanks for sharing, I was hoping to go to this over the weekend, but sadly it worked out an expensive weekend by the time I added conference, flights and accommodation. Do you have any notes that you are happy to share?

It's a shame you didn't make it KirstieWilk, there was a lot of fun had by all. Marc is a huge talent, and it was a pleasure to watch him work. I suspect the videos of his work will be available eventually, will post links if and when I find out.

Next year it'll be held in Melbourne, in July, so you have plenty of time to save for it. :)

Oh, one thing I do want to mention, if you make the next one, take plenty of cash for the sales area. :)

The juniper that Marc worked on today - at the start.

And the start of the team Bebb effort - a huge group planting on an enormous piece of sandstone.

Thanks Bougy and Mel for posting - much appreciated by those who couldn't make it.

For me, the funky Bougainvillea is why we grow bonsai - energy and light, not stale old formulas.
The M. stypheloides was interesting with its dead branches - well observed.
The second ROR trident was strong.

Thanks for the pics. I was entered to attend the Convention, but unfortunately life got in the way and I wasn't able to get down for it. Shame, but the photo's made up for it a little bit.

Cheers Gavin, agree about the bougy, it's a delight! The Mel "dead branches" were in fact live branches! It was like looking up under a normal well ramified branch, with all the foliage pointing upwards, but in this case the foliage was all under the branches. It was quite an arresting sight!

Marc also worked on this tree...I didn't get a before shot, wish I had! Marc did wonders with it, imho!

Cheers Tony. It's a melaleuca isn't it? Don't happen to know what variety?
