Victorian Native Bonsai Club Sale Day
Hi everyone,
It's on again, last year stock sold out very quickly so be early.
When: August 19th 2017
Where: Harry Atkinson Center, Lake Grove, Coburg Lake Reserve, Coburg
Time: 9.30am to 12pm.
Cost: $2 entry
Who: Island Bonsai (Tasmania) Hugh Grant (collected material) as well as other Club members selling off excess stock. Potters: Marg Fenn Hachinoki Pottery, Tracy Francis Murrumbung Pottery, Val Garth Pottery, three of the Best Victorian potters around and Bonsai Roots potting mix supplier.
Do not be disappointed and be early as Native stock such as this is very hard to come by.

Re: Victorian Native Bonsai Club Sale Day
Probably a one-off from me, but I'm bringing up a bunch of native plants for sale, at the Victorian Native Bonsai Club sale day, mostly advanced and well suited to bonsai.
Grown at my nursery, Island Bonsai, just out of Hobart, I'll have some Banksia serrata about 20 yrs old with some seriously impressive trunks, also Allocasuarina littoralis, with magnificently fissured bark.
As well, a bunch of Huon Pines and other assorted native species, all grown for bonsai.
Some photos attached (if I can work out how to do it!)
Looking forward to seeing some of you in Melbourne on the 19th Aug
Will Fletcher
(OK My file is too big. I'll do a bit more research and work out how to reduce them........photos hopefully in the next post)

OK......photos attempt Mk2
Examples of stock I'll have available at the sale day
(As of tomorrow I'm away, walking the Larapinta Trail for two weeks, and out of contact, but I'll be back the week before the 19th if there are any questions) Cheers, Will

And I have branched out into brooches, or lapel pins, and little art plaques for your desk or on the bookshelf.

Re: Victorian Native Bonsai Club Sale Day
Don't forget the Vic. Native Club's Sale this weekend Saturday 19th, 9.30 -12pm at the Harry Atkinson Centre, Coburg Lake, Coburg.
I will be taking some new and 'different' pots out of the kiln this week and - along with the more traditional styles - they will be coming with me for the sale.
So ... to add to the sneak peek of Val's fabulous pots... here is another taster of what you will find there: Be there or be square!

Gosh Tracey's pots look good. I have the kiln on again today, last firing before Saturday's sale. These are the glazes I'm striving for:

Re: Victorian Native Bonsai Club Sale Day
Looks like its going to be a veritable pot-fest at this sale day!
Marg Fenn will also be in attendance with a big selection of her hand crafted pots! I don't have any photos to post up sorry so you'll just have to attend the sale to see what she has.
PS. Marg will have EFT-POS facilities - if she can workout how to use it this time!
