I will have a number of items for sale at the forthcoming Market day, as outlined below:

FERTIGATE UNITS
For nearly 20 years, despite best intentions to fertilise regularly each year to maximise growth and potential of my bonsai, I failed miserably. I perfected every excuse to not fertilise regularly.

In contrast, for the past two years, fertilising has been super easy – even to the point that I can micros-dose every single day with no extra effort than it takes me to water my bonsai.

The process is called fertigation and simply involves setting your desired fertiliser rate, placing the suction filter into the fertiliser and start fertilising. Dependant on the flow of water, an appropriate fertiliser volume is pumped into your hose or irrigation system where it mixes thoroughly with the water. The fertiliser pump rate automatically adjusts to variations in water flow.

As you will appreciate fertilising (or fertigating) is pretty easy. I use a mixture of fertiliser and Seasol every day.

I have been selling a range of permanently mounted or portable units on my website (http://www.fertigate.com.au) powered by either 12VDc transformer, 12VDC battery or obtain their power from the flow of water.

Several of these units will be for sale at discounted prices at the AusBonsai market day as below. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any further information or have a look at the web site which includes some tips and methods that the units can be used.

WIRE CADDY
Several bonsai wire roll caddy’s will be available for purchase at $130 each. These units are a great accessory:
  • - Hold 6 off 0.5kg or 1kg rolls.
    - Each spool rotates freely and independent of axle.
    - Easily replace a complete roll of wire as shown in the progressive photographs (WITHOUT winding the wire onto the spool).
    - Perfect accessory to prevent wire “nests” and easy access to wire.
    - Typically used with wire sizes of diameter 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm & 3.5mm
    - Spools are completely assembled – ready to use.
This version has several improvements over its predecessor in that no tools are required to fit or replace complete wire rolls.

NOTE:
1. Wire not included
2. Colour of side frame is white (not black as shown in the above earlier models)

An instruction sheet including more details is attached below

BONSAI TODAY
I have a full set of Bonsai Today for sale from volume 1 to 155 inclusive.
Price $600
It is unlikely that I will bring such a volume of magazines on the “off chance” that someone is interested in buying them. However, send me a message if you are interested to buy them and I will bring them with me.

Regards
Steve

G'day all,

I've got a Fertigate and can highly recommend them as a very simple and reliable method of fertilising your bonsai.

Following is one of my tree's that will be auctioned at 11am on Sunday. This one will start at $1 and there is no reserve.

Looks like it is shaping up to be a beaut sale day.
Sadly no bus this year but have managed to organise two wagons coming from Goulburn to fill for the return journey. :fc:

Hope to see some "old" Bonsai friends there.

CBS have a bus coming from Canberra and they have some seats spare. Perhaps they could pick you up on the way? You can make arrangements with Jennifer at cbsshow@cbs.or.au

Once again a terrific day with plenty of people and quality trees. Everyone I spoke to was happy with their sales or purchases. I sold all but 3 trees.

I was able to put a few more faces to names again this year and seen some old faces that I don’t get to catch up with very often.

Thanks to Steven for a job well done.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Steven and his team for putting on a great sale.
I scored a couple of trees and a Pat Kennedy pot all at very reasonable prices.
Made the 5hr return trip worthwhile.

Yes thank you Steven for taking the time to put this together again this year. A great day to chat and make a few illicit purchases to smuggle past the Minister for Finance :palm: Hats off to all the volunteers who helped make it a great day :worship:
