BONSAI EXPOSED- the exhibition

I am looking forward to the AABC convention next week. The exhibition (which is open to the general public) promises to be something very special. The theme "Bonsai Exposed" gives an indication. I expect to see many deciduous trees in their winter silhouette, warts and all. A chance to examine and appreciate the structure of some very special trees. Pines and junipers etc. large and small will also be seen. Every tree in the exhibition has been "invited" from across Victoria by the organising committee so the standard should be exceptional.

Here is the Exhibition flyer.

What a fabulous change from the standard displays. I don't think we get enough chances to see the bare bones exhibitions here! Certainly not in SE Qld....

I'll be a little disappointed if that English Elm isn't on display. :fc:

Excellent. I've been wanting to see that tree, but wouldn't be too disappointed if it wasn't there honestly.

Hi everyone

I just happen to be in Melbourne for family things but managed to get to the Exhibition and Sales area this morning. Also caught up with Bjorn and others who went to Japan earlier this year.

Get to the Exhibition if you can!

It's stunning, well done and congrats to the organisers.

Regards
Paul Carey

I don’t have any kids yet, but with that being said... I’d sell my kidney, a lung and an eye for any of the exhibits. I brought a friend along today with his Mrs and they were hooked after leaving the New York room.

:worship: one of, if not the best “selection” of exhibits and and trees available for sale.

This was the highlight of my weekend. Thanks to the organisers and volunteers involved. Very well done
