Re: AusBonsai Market - 3rd March 2019
I'll be there wearing who know what but have lots of Akadama and Kanuma to Sell
Both at a special Market day price of $30 (ok Kanuma is normally $30, but Akadama is Normally $32)
In addition to the above, I have also have smaller 14L bags of 1-7 mm Pumice from NZ $30 each
and also a few 14L bags of my blended mix if people want to try a smaller amount $40 each
2 parts Akadama
2 Part Pumice
1 part Zeolite
Use "As is" in Pines, Junipers, Ficus, Aus natives, and add some Pine bark for Deciduous trees if you feel like
See you all there

Re: AusBonsai Market - 3rd March 2019
Hi all
Look forward to seeing you all there tomorrow! Come find me at the far corner of the market in the 'Tree Makers' stall. Will have a mixture of raw material and well progressed trees available to purchase. Mostly all my material will be exotic trees i am clearing in place of an almost solely native focus from here on in, so may be your last chance to purchase a more traditional species from me, for a while anyway. Next year will be looking a whole lot different!
Will have Both Cash and EFT options available when purchasing.
Look out fro our logo when perusing the market to find our stall. Come say Hi would love to have a chat!

Congratulations to Steven and all the vendors. A great Ausbonsai day from what I saw; lots of plants and pots. I bought a number of smallish pots for myself and my ever growing collection of Shohin bonsai.

Re: AusBonsai Market - 3rd March 2019
Thanks to everyone who came and supported the AusBonsai Market! A notable attendance by Grant Bowie who looked remarkably well considering his heart was transplanted only weeks ago
If you’d like to see a video of the opening we went Live on Facebook which you can see here https://www.facebook.com/AusBonsai/vide ... 33?sfns=mo
There were some amazing bonsai for sale this year as well as some excellent hand crafted pots by 4 potters.
Right now I’m pretty exhausted but already thinking of ideas to make the next one better. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Cleary better and better each year. I was happy as a seller and a buyer. ( buying being that thing you told yourself you wouldn’t do but clearly you are delirious).

Yeah I agree. I wish I could have stayed and talked longer, but it was a Daddy and kids weekend for me.squizzy wrote:Cleary better and better each year. I was happy as a seller and a buyer. ( buying being that thing you told yourself you wouldn’t do but clearly you are delirious).

As always, the people in the bonsai community are really what makes it so fun. Ditto on seeing Grant and having a chat, I hope you have 50 more years ahead of you mate. Always a pleasure talking bonsai with you.
Awesome day Steven.

An awesome day. Thanks Steven, and everyone else who help put on this event.
Anyone get some photos of the sellers displays. I was a seller and completely forgot to grab a picture of my set up
