Hi Everyone

For those who have just received their latest issue of Bonsai Focus Magazine, keep an eye out for Nik and Marija who are both featured artists.

Hi Everyone

I recently sent an email to all clubs seeking nominations to the free workshops we run during Bonsai Week Each club is allowed to nominate 2 of its members for a chance at being selected for a free workshop with both our international guests.

If your club hasn't asked for nominations, give your club secretary a nudge.

Bonsai Week is partially subsidised by the Bonsai Trust Fund and the ACT Government.

Hi Everyone

I am working through contacting all of the lucky winners of a workshop with the international artists. I will contact everyone either way to notify you early next week.

In the mean time, just a reminder that tickets for the Friday events are limited by numbers. First in best dressed.

Hi Everyone

Just a reminder of how Bonsai Week is brought to the Australian Bonsai Community. I was thinking of a way to give back to the Bonsai Community. I wanted to reward our wonderful volunteers, lenders and donors, and also provide an opportunity for clubs to benefit by offering free workshops. The only proviso was that attendees went back to their clubs to share what they have learnt.

Bonsai Week is heavily funded by the Bonsai Trust Fund. Where there is a charge, it is because the cost does not fit under the parameters for the use of Trust Fund monies.

I encourage you to get involved in as many activities as possible during Bonsai Week. We have tours, demonstrations, classes, workshops, demonstrations, auctions. Plenty of action for everyone. It is a week to celebrate Australian bonsai and experience the talents of two high profile international artists.

Don't forget, observing workshops is also free, just come along.

Cheers
Leigh

Sorry for my delayed response to this - I just wanted to say that I feel fortunate to be one of the people nominated by the YVBS and then selected as a starter for the workshops on Saturday 28th March. Such a wonderful opportunity to do workshops with Marija Hajdic and Nik Rozman. Thank you to all at the NBPCA. I am so excited to visit, participate, and learn. A road trip beckons in late March and I'll provide updates accordingly.

Thanks MJL

It sure is shaping up to be another awesome event. I can’t wait. I love being able to bring everyone together and share what we love. The international artists are a pretty good attraction too.

Hi Everyone

Unfortunately Bonsai Week 2020 has been cancelled due to the measures taken by the Federal Government to contain the spread of COVID 19. We regret that we are not able to bring you Bonsai Week this year.
A full refund will be given for all purchased tickets. Please allow a few working days for this to be processed.
