Was just sitting in bed and had a sudden realisation that I might have already missed this year's event. I didn't even know it was on, just remembered last year the quality of trees was good.

I just did a quick search and it started today.

If you are in Sydney and you are free, I would encourage you to go have a look if it's anything like last year.
