Each year a member club of the Association of Australian Bonsai Clubs hosts the three day seminar which starts Friday evening, gets into full swing on Saturday with all day demonstrations by international and local masters. Saturday night there is a dinner with a major presentation and Sunday demos are on again. Monday is Workshop day and early birds can get a spot working with a master.
Dates: May 22-25
This is an amazing opportunity to be immersed in bonsai up to your eyebrows and beyond. The attendees are very friendly and it is easy to talk to anyone. There is a marketplace with local bonsai dealers and, this year again, Pat Kennedy with his Mirkwood Pots will have a stand. The 2009 Seminar is being hosted by the Bonsai Society of Queensland and full information can be found at www.bonsaisocietyqld.asn.au. The seminar is being held at Royal on the Park, Brisbane City.
I highly recommend this Seminar to one and all. I have attended a number of times and the learning is just so fantastic. You get full value for money!

While I have not registered yet, I am planning to attend. I joined Bimer this week so that I can try to get into a workshop.

Better get your act together John.. the workshops have limited spaces and fill fast. Good luck getting a place.
