Is this guy for real

Post by peterb »

Hi Everyone
Just been on ebay ,looking for the ever elusive bargain and was looking through the bonsai pots section , when i saw the most bizarre thing for sale :lost: . There was a dead juniper in a supposedly quality japanese pot being sold as dead art at a price of $65 . Well i thought the person was just taking the mickey and trying his luck but looking further there were more of these dead bonsai being sold as dead art . All of them are sticks in a pot with grand claims of age and crappy pots been sold as quality japanese pots. Do people buy these things are they so gullible :?: :?: :palm:
kind regards

They've been on there for months, and from memory the price was a lot higher when they were first put on.

I guess it's kind of a good way to make money off all the trees we kill...

I don't trust Bonsai, they are a little shady.

Hi guys
Hey maybe we can start a trend , we could have shows displaying our dead trees and sell them off as the dark side of bonsai art or something

Unfortunately what is depicted as Bonsai on a lot of sites like Evilbay and gumtree and some posts. The general public know no better. Therefor if it is already dead it saves them the trouble of killing it. So when they tell its dead they can honestly say they did not kill it.

Cheers a fan of sticks in pots. Pup :crikey: :palm:
