I am not sure that I am reading this correctly.

That Thor has passed on in that he has DIED.
Can some one please clarify this. As it needs more than just a passing remark, if it is so.

Cheers Pup

I heard today he is in a hospice with inoperable pancreatic cancer. That was around mid day; so it is possible I suppose but very quick.

My apologies for using perhaps a too delicate American [?] idiom for Thor's death. It was meant to go along with his wife's statement about "his next great adventure." What many think of as finality -- isn't.

Just heard last night of the death of Thor Beowulf.
Such a great loss to bonsai art.
Thor had a wonderfully bold and different view of bonsai art that opened a new world of appreciation of bonsai history, bonsai art and the people who practice it.
What wonderful accolades for the things he accomplished beyond what others even attempted.
How much I am going to miss him.

I am saddened by the lack of response over his passing.
He was a pioneer in Bonsai.
He wasRyan Neil's host at the Canberra convention in 2013

RIP Thor fly free now

Thorhammer (Thor) was a member of the Canberra Bonsai Club and we are all saddened to hear of his passing.

We have a page on our website that celebrates some highlights of his life and expresses our condolences to his family, his wife - Melissa and his five boys.

http://www.cbs.org.au/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=54

Norse mythology, Thor (/θɔr/; from Old Norse Þórr) is a hammer-wielding god associated with thunder, lightning, storms, oak trees, strength, the protection of mankind, and also hallowing, healing and fertility.

Thor Beowulf lived up to his namesake in many ways - his love of trees and protection of mankind (his care of the environment).

We will miss him.
