Re: What's with Movie Bonsai?
Hi Hector,
I agree about the bonsai in Die Hard. But I have thought that the one in Karate Kid
was rather outstanding -- the one where Daniel descends down the alley to pick it
up for Mr. Miagi. I read in one of Bonsai Today issue that that particular bonsai
belongs a noted American-Japanese bonsai artist who lives in California. I have
been trying to find the issue but I could not. I will find it one day.
I have not seen the others. I have seen "The King and I" with Mr. Yul Bryner. I
could not stand Mr. Chow and Ms. Foster in the later version -- they butched a
master piece .
Best regards.

For an ongoing detailed listing of bonsai in films and on (mostly U.S.) T.V. please start here http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/BoldlyGrow.html
(Not to slight the great work by my friend Lindsay Farr, please also see Mar 4 entry http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/Days/DaysMar.html and Jun 1 entry http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/Days/DaysJun.html )

Re: What's with Movie Bonsai?
Hey guys,
Sorry to bring up a reasonably old post, but I was wandering if it was possible to get lists of the movie/tv/game titles at all?
I'm particularly interested in knowing which video/computer games had bonsai in them!!
Thanks,
Nathan ^_^

Sorry it's taken a while for me to get back to you on this. Please see http://www.phoenixbonsai.com/BoldlyGrow5.html for the short games list. My kids (13-19) have told me of a few others but they haven't given me enough details yet to include those in this listing.
Cordially,
Robert
