The guy collects them and I think he likes the girls in them :lol: I went to the site where he buys them from and I have to kinda agree the ones with the girls are more interesting. Or at least people it gives a better idea of the era.
Did you see the french one that is a ripper!

Traditionally women grew/tended/maintained the trees, as well as the Ikebana and other indoor displays . :)
They practiced these things, whilst at home when the man would have been out.

The women depicted are Geisha generally, the images are more a representation of a well managed house hold.

See no evil,speak no evil ,hear no evil,,,in the last one. Has made me rethink selling my silk Kimonos, brought for the silk not the kimono but never got around to using some of them (had 20!). Maybe they could form part of a display one day???? Now where is the lightbulb moment smilie?
