AABC commemorative pots
Well you never now what you might find on the club trading table ...
Picked this small pot up tonight thinking "that's a bit different", saw it had a couple of stamps on the bottom, but as I was busy didn't have a close look until I got home.
We'll blow me down, it has a stamp "WAVERLEY AABC 1994"
So if you've got AABC commemorative pots from past years please post them here, let's see what the whole collection looks like

Wow, that's really cool, 20 years of history, I wonder where it will be in another 20. Good score!

Great score Ryan. Could I trouble you for a clearer shot of the chops so we can post them in the Australian Bonsai Potters Signatures thread.

Re: AABC commemorative pots
I'm presuming this pot was sold or given at the 1994 AABC Waverley convention? I'll chat with some of the experienced members around the club, but did anyone here go to that convention, or have any further info around these pots?
Do we have a list anywhere of which clubs held conventions in what year?

Re: AABC commemorative pots
I was at that convention and I do remember a couple of other conventions the AABC did give pots to those who attended, but I'm damned if I can remember if I got one of these pots. I do remember getting a ripper pot at one of the conventions, unfortunately it was broken during one of my many moves.

It s a real shame when that happens, or they get packed away in boxes for years and the joy of rediscovery.Graeme wrote:I was at that convention and I do remember a couple of other conventions the AABC did give pots to those who attended, but I'm damned if I can remember if I got one of these pots. I love pots with a story, a history

Re: AABC commemorative pots
To continue the theme, this is the pot that was given to attendees at the 2004 AABC convention in Canberra. So it is 10 years old this year, and 10 years younger than Cre8iv's pot.

Re: AABC commemorative pots
Well I've come across another 1994 AABC convention pot, slightly bigger and different style ...
