Love that unglazed koyo benbonsai posted. I have a serious soft spot for Koyo pots and i don't see many unglazed Koyo pots since they are famed for their glazes.

Hi Tim it is a beautiful pot, although it is glazed. That photo didn’t show it too well but it’s a matte olive glaze

Ha ha, he's a marvel, love it! I only have a couple of his, since I find they're a little too "masculine" for the majority of my plants. I keep reminding myself to get one of his skull accent pots! Hope he keeps making them, now that he's into his "Japanese" phase!

I can get that, I also think that trees that we may have being from warmer climates make matching them to a pot more challenging or interesting. Hopefully I can finally get one or two into a pot this season, his pots give me ideas. I just wish I could magic up the trees now.
He is definitely doing the skull accents still and I'm pretty sure there are a couple available now but pretty sure they will continue. He actually did a T-Rex skull on commission once, I'll see if I can find a link to it over the weekend. That was cool.

It was a pleasure to follow and I think quite a special world to be allowed into. You mention the glazes, I wonder if he brought a new secret recipe back because there is a difference for sure. There are some rounds, I have a mini based on dragon claw but I hadn't thought of that before.

As Pearcy said, all his new work now carries the new stamp he was given, in addition to his standard chop. I actually have it on a T-shirt.
No problems here.

I have two of his, one an accent, which is round and red, called "apple" and one a shohin rectangle which I'm growing a future broom style elm in...a long way in the future!
I have been buying them through the European Bonsai Potters Collective, since I am able to buy quite a few other European's works all from the same source, with combined postage. I'll see if Alex can get me a skull accent to add to my next order.

Wow, it toally looked unglazed in that first photo but i like the glaze even better!

That is a magic pot! The matte olive glaze oozes class I reckon.

When I saw it I had to have it.
I have a Chinese elm group that will be going in it after some refinement in a training pot.
