Re: help to identify accent plant
Looks to me like Rhus seedlings. Rhus are a family of small trees that are very toxic and have been put on the banned, noxious weed list in many states. They are a beautiful autumn foliage tree but many people on coming in contact with the foliage or sap develop a horrendous rash similar to a bad scabies infection. There are still a few around in old gardens, that the powers that be, have not found and told the owners to remove them. I don't like your chances of getting any but the best time to look for seed would be in autumn when the red autumn foliage gives the location away and the seed is ripe. See pic and link below.

You could try some nandina nana. They look quite similar in size, shape, and colour. And non-toxic.
Cheers,

ohh,,, it does look like rhus, so it's in my banned list as well then, my daughter is more precious to me.
yep I do have nandina, but I like the photo plant because of the dissected leaves which resemble JM.
Thanks Gents.

When you like something there is always a catch, Eh. Cutejai, did you click on the link and see the Bonsai Rhus,? I learnt the hard way years ago and was treated with a lotion that made it worse until I realised what had caused it. They do make a nice tree but you have be a bit cautious with them.
