Ideed, i especially like the Hawthornia and its flower...
Lovely pots too.... isn't it amazing how the love of bonsai branches out to an addiction to pots, display tables and mini plants...? !
Thanks for sharing Mel.
Pierre

love it! thanks for sharing, im assuming the smaller the pot the more attention it needs, especially QLD summers.

You're assuming correctly, but I have them sitting in a larger pot with scoria in the bottom. They get misted twice a day when it's hot, once a day if it's not.

 Mel,
Hats off to ya for keeping these little green babies alive!
My "all day sun - not an ounce of shade" backyard has no place for these to dwell.
I still hear the haunting cries at night of shrivelled up mini's past.....silence of the "accents". :o

Oh also,
Would you mind dropping down a notch or two with the photographic skills - your making some of us here look a bit amateur.
Thanks Keep calm...

I'm lucky to have a very helpful hubby who has made me a number of areas that have protection, and this is where the minis reside. I'm on a small block facing NE, and the Eastern side is where I asked him to build me a greenhouse. It's been where all my pitcher plants have lived for many years, but now they're being muscled out by kusamono, shohin and a couple of mame. I have also put a Nepenthes into a shohin pot, just to be contrary! After a year of sulking it finally looks like it might pitcher again. :)

Sorry about the photography, I am a real sucker for shallow depth of field macro... :P

I suspect most of us here are in that club Anthony!

I had to laugh at the meeting where Glenys Bebb gave a talk, where she suggested that you might have too many plants if you can't find the time to do the work that they all need! :shifty: Nope, that's not me!!! :shifty:
