Egret Flower: Habenaria radiata

Post by Jow »

Is any one growing this species?

I would love to grow one as an accent and was wondering if anyone had a spare bulb or two?

I've been out of the terrestrial orchid network for a while but haven't heard of it in Aus. Hope its not as invasive as the South African Disa, one of which has naturalised and is spreading rapidly in a number of locations in Vic!

I'm not sure if radiata is in aus, wouldnt suprise me, but we do have a number of natvies and some exotics in cultivation here. Never grown them but they are nice little plants. Should be easy to grow given the right mix and provided they are kept dry for 6 months of the year
