My Old Place

Post by Leigh Taafe »

I built the garden from scratch at my old place. Took me 5 years on the late afternoons during daylight savings (as I worked the nursery at Pialligo 7 days a week). This included decks and pergolas, paved areas, retaining walls, and an enclosure (cage) for my personal bonsai.

I miss the garden. I finally had it looking "complete" then I sold it to buy the place I am in now. We needed a "bigger" block to set up the nursery and work from home.

Anyway - here are a couple of pics.

The new place was a jungle when we bought it. I have cut down so many trees here. I eventually want to build a stunning garden that complements my bonsai. I would love something like what you see at Daizo Iwasaki's place (it's good to have dreams! ). Morten Albek has some great pics of Daizo's place on his website, I am sure he wouldn't mind me posting a link here.
