Hi everyone,
Well it’s autumn in Japan and this is our third trip to this fascinating country. We are here for three weeks touring around. We arrived on the 17th Nov. and are making our way down to Kyoto on Sunday to meet up with Bjorn Bjorholm from the USA.

Most forum readers will recognise that name. We are joining his 2016 Autumn Bonsai Tour here in Japan, and the main highlight will be attending the Taikan Ten Bonsai Exhibition held in Kyoto starting this weekend.

Yesterday (Friday) went went to one of our favourite gardens, the Koishikawa Korakuen Garden just to see the autumn colours. We have been here before, in winter 2015 whilst attending the 89th Kokufu Ten Bonsai Exhibition.

These gardens are the oldest gardens in Tokyo starting back in 1629 at 63 acres, but was diminished to 17.2 acres after Tokyo city development took over. It is still a magnificent landmark, and I hope you enjoy these beautiful colours of autumn.

Enjoy!

That cascading pine over the water is a beaut!
