Ginko Tree Survived The Atomic Bomb!!

Walking through the Shukkeien Gardens in Hiroshima, Japan, we came across this giant Ginko tree.

Also, have a look at the Koko-kyo bridge photos.

These gardens were totally destroyed due to the atomic bomb.

More on the gardens later.

Did you go to the castle in Hiroshima? There's a eucalypt there that survived the blast. Unexpected.

Hi Jow,
Yes, we did visit Hiroshima Castle and we did see the eucalyptus tree. There was also some other trees near by called Holly Trees, they are marked with a name tag. See first photo

I thought I took a close up photo of the eucalyptus tree. I think it’s the second tree. Third photo!!
