Volcanic Bubbles

Post by wattynine »

Have done a couple of visits now to a site west of Mackay this is what I hunt for now, found it completely by accident one day, so;
Rock found on site in this format
rock 3.0.JPG
split it with a small mattock coz it was a little boring as it was and.................
rock 3.1.JPG
emptied out the volcanic silt that was still inside the bubbles
rock 3.2.JPG
The half on the left still has a thin film over its half but is hollow and has been emptied out
rock 3.3.JPG
and the end results...................magic
rock 3.4.JPG
rock 3.5.JPG
rock 3.6.JPG
rock 3.7.JPG
