as suiseki people in Australia know the Chinese seem just as passionate about their 'stones' as they are about their gardens and trees
I thought I'd post some of the images I captured during a recent tour of China and Hong Kong
suffice to say I have never seen so many, of such large size and of such amazing quality
and, unlike those of us obsessed with trees, you can bring anything you fall in love with back to Australia
they had loaf of bread sized stones on stands for sale at the Nan Lian Garden in Hong Kong for about $AUS4000

hate to even contemplate what some of those would be worth, probably more than i would earn in a few lifetimes
