Hi to all stone lovers around the country,
Looking at all the stone photos here I am amazed at what people are finding around our country. If you are interested in stone collecting and would like more information why don't you become members of Suiseki Australia in Sydney? To join is $15 for the year (February to November) and for this you get a newsletter every month with the latest tips, trends and ideas from both here and overseas. If you are lucky enough to live in Sydney you can attend meetings every 3rd Wednesday of the month except during school holidays and also to attend daiza making workshops held monthly at Ray Nesci's Bonsai Nursery at Dural. We have two master craftsmen who are very talented at wood craft. You will also learn how to make alternative daizas for your stones that do not involve power tools. We have learnt all of the latest trends that are happening overseas and we have found them to be very adaptable to all types of stones. If you would like to learn more please contact me on 0412 384 834 and I will give you all the necessary information. We meet at the Don Moore Community Hall, North Rocks Road, North Rocks (cool name!!) for those who live in Sydney, but our meeting on the 18th May has been cancelled as most of us will be in Hobart for the AABC convention. In Hobart, members of Suiseki Australia will be putting on a display of stones for their convention.
Looking forward to meeting some new prospective members.
Call me, Brenda Parker (President of Suiseki Australia and the Illawarra Bonsai Society Inc)
