Hey MelB and Watto - I am on a crowded train - travelling home from work and your journey with these excellent Bonsai is making my journey a lot more enjoyable. Excellent trees. Thanks for posting. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Hi Mel ,two trees with a lot of character.
Hi Watto , cool pot and great tree. The good lady just walked by and her verdict "that's cute ". I don't get that kind of reaction...…. Cheers John.

For those who don't know that banksia of Peter's it is a monster. That's a full sized table it is sitting on at a Canberra Bonsai show. Great tree

Here's a Callistemon modelled after the ones I see in the rivers and creeks in this area
P1200707.JPG
Sorry, no scale again. The tree is around 40cm tall and a bit wider.

OMG Peter.

Game over! Double Ender!
I've seen the Banksia before (and it's sublime) but that wattle is simply stunning as well!

Keep em coming peeps!

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

I’m almost embarrassed to post again after that one PeterH. Holy Shari. Would love to see it in the flesh one day.

Surely this will entice some of our big hitters?

Anyway my next one is as follows.

Australia Day bonsai display 2019

Post by MJL »

What about PeterH stepping out of the shed and banging that wattle on the table. ‘Take a bit of that ...’
A staggering tree - some good ones popping out of the shadows now...

That Banksia from Peter and that Cal from Neil are two of me all time favourite trees I’ve found on this site so far... native or otherwise.
