Looking good Anthony.

The Redlands club in Brisbane must have a good hundred of these trees, if not more, scattered amongst the members. One of the best things about them is they grow their foliage pads quickly, so you can style them easily and swiftly. Trouble is because they grow so quickly you need to constantly keep taking them back and growing them again, otherwise you end up with skeletons inside and all the foliage on the outside in a narrow outline. I suspect that many of the tiny leafed (leaved?) natives have a similar problem.

I've noticed that many of these trees end up looking so heavily styled that they're almost topiary, for that reason. If you can catch up with the critiques that David has posted from the convention, you will see that Ryan touches on the "moving forward from a finished tree" problem.

You're welcome, Anthony. I have to say, at least one of the members has a raft which is outstanding, and there are a few groups as well, but I suspect they won awards last year, so weren't shown this year. I'll see if I can get some shots of them if they show up at a meeting any time soon. :)

Hi Frank a gentleman at the Illawarra Show makes and sells them at this show, beautifully crafted, hopefully he will be back again next year.
