Guess the species and size to win
G'day,
It's time for a bit of light entertainment with another guessing competition.
The first person who correctly guesses the species and size of this tree will win 20 Japanese Black Pine seeds. Sorry but due to quarantine laws, if you are in TAS or WA you will only win an AusBonsai sticker.
• Only 1 guess per member.
• Height should be quoted in millimeters and is to be judged from the top rim of pot to the tip of the tree.
Guess the size and species correctly to win 20 JBP seeds.
Have fun
Regards,
Steven
P.S. Thanks to Scott Roxburgh for the seeds and Hackimoto for the picture of his tree

Re: Guess the species and size to win
Geez. I would have said some kind of citrus, with that bark and those spurs on it. Full marks to you two for even knowing the wierd ones...
I'd guess around 600mm.
No marks at all to Hackimoto, he doesn't even have to wire the damn thing. That's got to be cheating.
(Very interesting though...)

Re: Guess the species and size to win
My guess would be Twisted orange ( Poncirus Trifoliata) and 550 mm tall.

It certainly looks like a Poncirus trifoliata Flying Dragon and my guess on height is 500mm from rim of pot.

Re: Guess the species and size to win
The correct species has been named and so has the correct size but not by the same person... yet...
