[NATURAL] Leptospermum Erubescens - Mbunro

I got these 3 tea trees today from Australian Native Nursery in Oakford.
Cost was $5 each.
I chose this species for the small leaves, textured bark and nice small flowers. These 3 were chosen out of the bunch as they all have a matching kick to the lower trunk and slight variation in thickness..

As you can see in the photo the trunks range from 6-10mm.
Current plan is to make these into a small windswept group planting but I'd be shocked if I didn't kill at least one so that will likely change in the future.

I plan to grow these on for a year or so in different sized pots to try and get more variation to trunk size before planting together.ImageImageImage

Great minds... ;)
Love it, your trunks are a fair bit more advanced than mine, I’ll be watching!

These guys are still kicking, just....
Have hardly had time to water let alone repot so alas they are still in there tubes...
They were turning light green and going crispy but seem to have got them back to a healthy colour over the last week or so.

Decent root systems are growing into the pot underneath which should be interesting come time for a repot when it warms up again..

Only real thing to report is they were unwired about 6 weeks back when it started to dig in...Image

repotted these a few weeks ago before the new buds burst.
1 is thriving with heaps of new growth
1 doing ok now but looked pretty bad last week
and 1 is a gonna.
no special treatment just chopped the nursery tubes in half and planted in an old pot the same depth as what was left of the "root cubes".
getting the same fert as everything else minus the solids.

just aiming on some growth for now and will look at trunk placement and finally styling sometime next year.
