My first entry is Homoranthus flavescens (no common name).
H. flavescens is found in northern New South Wales from the coast to the western plains. It grows to 0.5m high and 1m in width and prefers part shade (it will cope with full sun, however I've heard this may slow down new growth). The foliage is unusual with succulent like silver to blue-grey leaves that are three-sided to almost cylindrical, about 10-15mm long and 1mm wide.
I think I got it as tubestock earlier this year, from a stall at the Plant Lovers Fair in Kariong for about $3. Repotted into a 200mm nursery pot, nothing else done to it.

). The owner (experienced) said it was a good species for bonsai, though didn’t bud back on old wood.
