Cheers Guys and good luck my friends with your little trees, my concern is the tender root-ball with the transplant to the tray/pot, transplant shock Hmm...they do look tender lol.

My plan is two of them will butt up to each other (one dominating) and the other one will be a little away isolated with some local rocks collected playing there part in the scene, just got to find that right tray.

Hi Anthony ,
Popped in to the Shellharbour Council Nursery the other day ,was told if you are looking for Claret Tops the guy with the tape measure took all the good low branching ones. :) Did manage to pick up one , as well as a nice tall one in the discount area for a dollar fifty. More root bound than anything else.
The setting looks pretty interesting ,hope they all turn out ok. At least the weather has been kind to you. Cheers John.

Yes only to strip the low branches off when setting up due to twists and bends, not to mention the weirdness of going around the nursery measuring everything...haha too funny.

I look forward to your entries to...thanks John.

cheers Anthony

Ive also asked many nurseries for this species but none seem to stock it. Finally placed an order so should receive some in a couple of weeks which will be my last entry for the competition.

Hi guys this my official image for this time slot,...and this stuff is keen, it has had one decent haircut and has come back nicely the challenge will be for me to get head right in this environment, not quite as torrid as my other scene but some attention still needed.

Just to explain the scene with little more in detail is a large part centred around the rock back right , this rock with imagination could be something that has collapsed or ground has fallen away for it to fall this way taking out one tree and pushing the far right to now lean and the middle tree to change direction....yes the imagination..hmmm abit wild like the scene maybe haha...anyway see how we go its all fun ...cheers

Our little guys are still motoring along hard after the april image with another haircut directly after and they have come back quite nicely with me starting to break the heads up into segments probably 3 to 5 parts I think maybe the order?

With the cold now coming in late afternoon and night , but the days 21 to 23 degrees with lovely heat our foliage with maturity I dare say is now giving me some nice reddish colour, the heads will now take another hit with the scissors and will be interesting to see if the growth still cycles in and out every approx 6 ish weeks...for those interested the trees are fed consistently every 10 days with nitosol and native slow release (6 monthly) in the medium....cheers
