Species: Corymbia Citriodora “Lemon Scented Gum”
Trunk: 4mm
Source: Cumberland state forest Plants Plus
Cost : $3
My Skill Level: Low
Since my other entry of the Agonis actually had myrtle rust, so I had to withdraw that. luckily before the Comp started. So here is my third entry to replace that!
I have two of these, the other actually has smaller leaves, but this one is is a bit more fresh so I might have more options to style as it grows
This one interested me as it started as a twin or triple trunk, but they sadly died as you can probably see in the photos.
Either way, Rory got me onto this species a while back and the scent is amazing, the better half grabs a few branches from my larger nursery stock for the shower. Interested to see what I can do with it over time!

Lost this one and the Mel whilst I was away, missus said it was cold wind for a week that killed it.
possibly not watering for two weeks.... I have two others that are still going but not in the comp.

That's a shame. You're better off occasionally over-watering than under-watering these.
They love the water and are beautiful to work with.

Just an observation. But weeds can really suck the water out of the pot when they become rampant. And then you have to be extra diligent if you don’t pull them out and it’s a hot windy day.
I try not to let them develop and pull them out slowly by the base. Having too many Bonsai in progress is usually leads to excess weeds.
