Natives really start drinking at this time of the year. Nothing to do with CoVid… they’re just building so good to make sure they have access to moisture. Nice growth!

Re: [A Forest Tale] Keels - Casuarina Cunninghamiana
Quick update on the forest. I haven't done a lot. Two months ago i chopped the tops off all but the slowest growing trees. I felt that i needed more options and i think I've received some now
I've also picked the pot i want to use. It a nice low rectangle pot. Might be a struggle to get the forest in but thats the risk I'm willing to take.
The pot has a nice earthy look to it. I think it will work
Now i just need to figure out when to repot so i have time for it too settle for the competition end date.

Re: [A Forest Tale] Keels - Casuarina Cunninghamiana
The forest has been growing like crazy since the last update. I can see a tonne of roots in the bottom colander.
I've got some branch options to work with now too
I still feel that the trunks are very small and thin still. I don't think I can get fatter trunks and a forest looking design by the end of the comp, if I continue to push for bigger trunks.
I think once this comp is over I will grow the trunks out for a few more years.
Anyway keen to hear how other forest comp entries are going too
