OK just thought of another one, I'd like to use...
Imagine a picture of a tree being put into an envelope,
for those times when you want to tell some one...

the only thing wrong with this tree is that it isn't in my collection

Here's one I just made. Looks simple, but takes a while to make, especially getting the chunks to fly off.
I must say it is a challenge working at such small sizes. The biggest dilemma apart from re-sizing pics, like the chainsaw so you can see it is a chainsaw not a glob of pixels, is trying to convey the meaning of an image. Oh well, a chainsaw cutting should convey plenty.

What do you think? :)

I have had several people contact me so far. Please feel free to pm me, I can tell you how to make them or make it for you if you can not.

That "smile" takes about 15 minutes and around 5 more frames to add. :D <---- seems easy hey! For such small pictures, they are really tricky to make. If they were large pics, they would be easy. Funny that, you would "think" the smaller the easier. :?

Ken, you have to have some good ideas, your funny as!! Give 'em up! :D

Hi Mitchell,

I'd never even heard of Gif animator before reading the above so I'm still trying to figure it out.
Do you know how to speed up the frame rate? It seems that the duration option only increases the time between loops.

Thank's for pointing out that method of animation.

I think that is it's flaw, and why I don't do many with it/at all.

The standard frame rate, is pretty fast though, normally too fast unless you are doing really complicated things. Most 2-15 frames should be fine...
PM me and we can discuss it. Perhaps you need to change your drawing style/animation to suit the frame rate? My avatar is done with microsoft gif animator and is running on the slowest speed... Which in my opinion is too fast for most animations. :)

This is the method I use and think it maybe the easiest to explain. I wrote this out to respond to a PM, but thought it may help others... If you get lost, or I haven't explained it enough, please PM me. :)

Go into microsoft paint and create a new image but re-sizing the background to 30x30. This is easier to do once you have clicked the magnifying class to zoom in.

If you can get that far, we can then start creating the frames. This can be tedious so best to try when you've got nothing else to do.
If you search google for images, you can select exactly the size image your searching for... 30x30 that way you can save it then open it in paint to edit.
Steven did request original content, which means not using other peoples images. Perhaps use theirs as your inspiration, or modify them past the point of being the original image.

Say we wanted to create  That would require only 2 frames..... I'll do a quick one to show you all.

Here are the two individual frames. The first I just drew a smilie,
1.gif
the second I simply cut'n'pasted the smile/eyes higher up the face.
2.GIF
If we were then to take those two frames which we save as a gif file and animate them in microsoft gif animator, we get this....
