Oh, wow, sorry not to have responded sooner ppl, DH has had to quit work and with him home I can't get on the computer much, so been AWOL for a while. All sorted now, and a new job which he will really enjoy, and closer to home. I have been selling herbs like the proverbial blue bottomed fly to try and make ends meet too, thankfully such a lovely season the gardeners are out in force with money.
Thanks so much Bodhi, will really give me a leg up having a decent pot and pruners! Now all I need is some worthy trees :D

Pot and cutters have arrived, both are absolutely gorgeous, thankyou Bodhi :D (hmm, male forum, no big sloppy kiss emoticon..)
Will certainly be sitting down to some serious autumn pruning soon, and hunting for the perfect plant for the pot! It has a really lovely gritty texture, will suit an Aussie native for sure!
