What next after Literati??

Hi All,

As a non-Aus Ausbonsai regular, I'd love to see another competition us non-Aussies can enter. I started out here a bit late for the literati competition, but look forward to the next one. Bring it on :tu: I fully understand why you have the local material competitons, and they are both a great idea, and great to follow! Look forward to something I can enter as a South African (and hopefully not choke :tounge: ).

Cheers,

Andrew

Andrew, Syzgium and Achmena, are both members of the Myrtaceae family, commonly called Lilly pilly or Bush Cherry. Quite a lot of them are Native to Australia. So if you have one, that is :aussie: why not enter, our native competition.

Cheers Pup

Hey Andrew. See if you can pickup an aussie native there:-), or even just pick one of you own native and enter that as Stir? Acacia maybey? they are related to ours anyway. I am sure the Aussie Judges here will appreciate the Sentiment and be nice to you for it ?

Have you considered a group or forest planting which would not curtail outsiders from entering? My forum is considering a twin or triple trunk style for our next challenge. We've stopped calling them competitions. =Don.

How about best bonsai sculptured from broccoli? Maybe use a kitchen knife, don't ruin ya best Dremel bits. Applicable to anyone, the art aspect is still the same challenge.
And if your entry doesn't win, it is dinner.

There is a possibility I do not always take this hobby as seriously as some do..
