What a race! I couldn't believe how tight the whole group was for the first half of the cup and then photo finishes for all places

This years winners are...

... and because bonsai is an art of patience and not haste, a 4th badge will also go to BGM1971 who rode MODUN into last place.

In place of a Badge, Steven presented me with a small bottle of Tri-Flow Lubricant.
He reckons it is good stuff to lube the tools, so will give all mine a clean up tomorrow

A $5 bet for a win on the second favourite DUNADEN finally got me a winner on the Melbourne cup.
