Aussie pot ID

Post by Elmer »

I bought a bunch of pots last weekend, mostly Chinese and korean, the seller said these 3 were Australian so I am hoping someone here can help with potters names.

A good size and love the variation in the glaze on this one. The rim seems a bit wonky tho that may have been the intent.

About the same size as the first, a bit shallower, the glaze is unlike anything I have seen before. Feels really well made compared to the first.

Smaller than the others and really shallow, looks more like nerikomi (marbled clay) than glaze. The rim is also something I haven't seen before, would be a pain to repot I am guessing.

Thanks on advance

2nd one is Penny Davis. Beautiful glaze. She does some really nice stuff.

3rd is 42 Mice. He used to be Newcastle based. Ive seen a few with the mottled clay.

Some shows and bonsai events will have potters at them. Also, not knowing where you live, Bonsai World on the Central Coast usually carries pots from all the potters mentioned.
