ahhhh....room to breathe!!!

Post by Pat K »

Now see here, Uncle Sam, AUSTRALIAN bonsai potters!!!!....and before any of my erstwhile friends start throwing shoes, I've been here a lot longer than some and maybe I'll take the oath...next year!!!

The Weston Creek bonsai show this weekend and the new shohin stand has just been finished.
Hope to see lots of you there!

A! hem could I ask the dimensions of the stand. Her who must be obeyed has just seen it and wants one.
Bugger you, now I will have to buy more timber. I used that as an exscuse. Then bless her she went where no woman should go a mans shed!!  Pup

Love those pots we have a couple destined for a very good friend in the UK next month. :D

Hi Pup, good to hear from you!

The dimensions are...width 1000, height 870, depth 140mm.
I used 12mm quarter-sawn mountain ash (tassie oak), bit expensive but it's not going to cup or bow and with terrific strength-to-weight ratio.

Have fun in the 'old dart' and say g'day to auntie Liz when you see her!

Very nice work on the stand and the pots that fill it ! I like that green glaze on the cascade at center right especially. Good luck at the show.
