Graham,
Interesting work. Love the last image posted but just feel the feet are too heavy visually. Very tempting!
Cheers,
Andrew

Here are a couple from the latest latest . More photos at http://www.bonsaipots-g.com
Will try to get to photographing a couple of thunder eggs tomorrow . I am busy hollowing out a huge burl , though I think it is not a true burl just a big round bit from a tree .
Cheers Graham

Re: latest firing
Graham,
I am in awe.
The first time I have seen pots that compliment nature as with the tree.
All one, as in nature.
Regards
Rae

My grey hair is my solar panel, as with the leaf on the bonsai is theirs.

Re: latest firing
Thanks for the compliment John ! I will be down your way for a couple of weeks in late June early July . Phone number is on the website . Here are acouple of shots of thunder eggs as promised and a couple of burls . The burl with the tree (scruffy tree) is a natural hollow and has no lining , the tree has been in it for four years and no apparent problems . Once the burls are coated with my new brew they should be good for a long time .
Cheers Graham

Re: latest firing
Hi Graham
I'm particularly interested in the timber treatment -- I have a few pieces of wood I would love to use as pots but everything I have tried doesn't last
Do you sell the liquid?
Those are really nice pots as well - rustic well suited to natives!
Steve

Re: latest firing
Hi Steve ,
it is actually a powder . If you give me an idea of the area to be covered I am sure we could work something out . it would be good to have another person using it and get some feedback . My phone and email are on the website . Cheers Graham
PS just hollowed out a huge hunk , it is about 500 mm by 400 mm and 200 mm deep at least . Hope to line it tomorrow .

Hi Graham
I'll work out the size and give you a yell
Things are a bit of a mess at the moment we are in the process of moving
We have to shift everything on the same day so trying to get organised

Re: latest firing
That little burl with the tree was my first burl . It was sitting on top of a log and already hollow . I cut it off with a handsaw and drilled a couple of drainage holes . No lining , that thing is winging it ! Now that I have worked out the lining membrane perhaps I will clean it out this Spring and give it a coat . The tree will have to go into a group on my big granite slab . The granite slab that I carried down the hill , over the burnt logs , through the thistles , etc. only to be told "You are not selling that !" . Guess I'll keep it. Cheers Graham

Re: latest firing
Hardly qualifies as "latest firing" but I am having great fun with the Bruce Findley moulds I acquired recently . This pot is still green or air dry . Graham
