Not exactly sure where this fits , but these slabs will almost all become "pots" so here they are .
It is not hard to find good rocks once you get access to an area , getting the access and getting the rock into the ute are a different story .
Finding a storage spot until they find a home is also a problem .

Well, I'm sure that you could find a good container unit for storage in the meantime as a good solution to keeping those rocks out of the way. I'm one of those people who like to hoard thigns too, so the best that we can do to keep all those good pieces out of the way until a plant calls out for them is to at least try and be a little organized hey? In any case, hope that you'll find some usage for the stuff that you have there soon - can't wait to see it!

I predicated that the granite slabs would become pots and several have . Here are a couple to go in the " super modified " class . The small one is tiny , but has pot and stand all in one . The large one is 900 by 650 at its widest points . The " pot " part is 600 by 400 and 100 deep at the deepest . It is going to be too small for the intended tree , so I might offer it for sale at the Canberra show in October .

Now that big one is awesome!!!!

Nicely done Regwac, what did you use to shape the insides and drill them ? I use a diamond drill on ceramic but have not yet tackled my big stone slabs yet.

Hi Sue , I use a diamond disc with an air powered grinder and lots of water . Wet , dirty and very noisy .
Here is one of my latest creations . A concept worth exploring further , I think .

Thanks Regwac.I have a diamond disc but no air grinder..the disc was brought for gem stone carving but never used- it is only 4 inch to fit a bench grinder.Will ask my handy neighbour what he would do to get it in use on a rock...mine a decomposed granite so may??? cut down fairly ok...maybe

Hi Sue , all rocks have a tendency to crack , both those pictured did , hence the reassembly with faults accentuated . Decomposed granite has a greater tendency to FALL APART , so take care and be prepared for a disaster .
