Saturday I felt inspired. I took to a Lilly Pilly that I collected from my bosses house in November. When I dug them out, they stood about 800mm tall. This what remains...

That looks pretty cool. Got a before pic?
Did you blow torch it to harden the wood, or was it friction burn?

Before pic, no . I got carried away to quickly for that. Used the wife's Kitchen torch, (shhh), to remove the small hairy fibres. I didn't treat the exposed wood with anything yet.
