Little Moreton Bay Figs

Post by daiviet_nguyen »

I have grown those Moreton Bay figs (ficus macrophylla) from seeds. I collected the fruits
from a tree underneath the Albion Overpass (Albion Rd) in Windsor, Brisbane in 2002. I
lived in Brisbane during 2002, working for TAB QLD, whose office was (still is?) also in
Albion road.

* Tree 1:

Pot diameter: 7 cm.
Pot height: 4 cm (including the "legs".)
Trunk diameter: 2 cm.
Tree height: 8 cm.

Chinese pot, I paid $0.50 for it.

* Tree 2:

Pot diameter: 8 cm.
Pot height: 3.5 cm (including the "legs".)
Trunk diameter: 1.5 cm.
Tree height: 10 cm.

Chinese pot. Hexagon shape. I paid $15.00 second-hand.

* Tree 3:

Pot length: 9 cm.
Pot width: 6 cm.
Pot height: 4 cm (including the "legs".)
Trunk diameter: 2 cm.
Tree height: 11 cm.

Japanese pot. I paid $8.00 second-hand.

They are all about 5 years old. These pictures were taken on 27th/April/2008. They have
not changed much since.

(Please feel free to correct my English. I would appreciate that.)
+ 30 Tensuu for these...

Hey Viet,

Mighty marvelous Moreton Bay Mame.

Grest post - that's got to be worth something from the Tensuu giver.

Sorry, I meant the hexagonal one. The other one still suits the tree though.
