Bunya Pine or Hoop Pine

Post by wattynine »

You can tell by the size of the bucket this is in, it's a long term project.
Sprung up wild in my garden so I dug it up and had it in a garden pot for too long so it's growth has been stunted, man has it taken off since its been in this bin.
anyway put some twist/ bends in it looking for this to have a 10-15 cm circumference in the trunk to really get the benefit out of these turns so I have a wait in front of me. Took it a little easy on the twists, wasn't sure what was going to be damage creating so I'll see how it wears this and give it another go in a few months.

If you can verify the species, would be grateful
thanks
