Another one just to keep track of this one. Hope it is fine to start such threads!!! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures before repot.
Kunzea Baxteri - scarlet kunzea
Trying a new mix
4 scoop Pumice (1-7)
3 scoop Zeolite
1 scoop Perlite
1 scoop pine bark
1 scoop coco peat
I am hoping this doesn't make the mix too much acidic!!!
This will be a multi trunk and I am wanting to keep it a smaller tree so let's see.

Re: Kunzea Baxteri (Progression Thread)
I've one of these myself.
Haven't seen any flowers on mine over the past 5 odd years.
I haven't done much too different in terms of care.
Root prune and repot in warmer spring when active and prune to shape whenever.
They do backbud even on older wood but sometimes the adventitious buds lose vigour and die off.
Keep us posted with yours, looks like a good start.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
