What sort of fusion? Growing the bases together to make multi trunk or getting several trunks to fuse to make a thicker trunk?
I've never had enough cedars at any one time and have not even thought of fusing cedars.
I can't think of any reason it would not work but I think it would take a long time for trunks to fuse together. Taking some bark of the sides you put together should speed up the process I guess.

I meant fusing trunks. I will give that a shot and see how it goes have a few seedlings to spare.
